Danebo <br />WREN Eugene, OR 97402 <br />Wil4vnette Reso 6 <br />Educational Network <br />December 31, 2010 <br />Contract No.: 2010 -05413 <br />Expenses for Reimbursement <br />Payroll <br />Paula Graff <br />Citizen Science Program <br />Development <br />$ 4444.63 <br />Total <br />$ 4444.63 <br />(Detailed report attached) <br />Project activities /accomplishments: <br />A Lane Community College intern was the lead surveyor for endangered plant species monitoring at a site <br />owned by The Nature Conservancy; completed surveys in August and wrote up results, submitted to <br />Nature Conservancy, October 2010. <br />• Second Lane Community College intern completed a plant monitoring project along Amazon Creek for the <br />City of Eugene, results were submitted to City upon receipt, October, 2010. <br />• Co- taught bird monitoring techniques class with Dave Bontrager, retired USFWS biologist on WEW site <br />where student Citizen Scientists learned various bird monitoring techniques and collected data on <br />breeding birds; preliminary results were submitted to BLM partners January, 2011 and will be presented <br />and made available to other partners at a Field Operations Group meeting in February. This activity is <br />match to the NFWF Citizen Science grant. <br />• Continued macroinvertebrate data identification of samples from annual monitoring of restored and <br />newly created seasonal wetlands; started seasonal sampling; trained and worked with 5 different <br />volunteers, July- December 2010.
