Exhibit C
Description of Services
SCOPE OF WORK
"Transportation Masters" Leadership Training Program
Description and Scope of Work
Program Description
Based on the proven success of the "Climate Masters" program previously implemented by the
Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI), this program will create and offer the equivalent of a one-day
training at no cost to interested community members in the target area. The training will educate
participants on the impact of transportation choices on climate change; actions that individuals
can take to increase their climate-positive transportation choices; and peer-to-peer outreach
strategies. The training model will be based on the Transtheoretical Model of Change (TTM),
which has been effectively used to develop change strategies interventions in many health
related fields, but has not yet been applied to transportation behavioral change.
The training is free for participants, but each will commit to 10 hours of community service as
peer leaders. Eugene SmartTrips staff will work with Transportation Masters volunteers on
service projects within the target area, including hosting house parties, outreach at community
events (such as the farmers' market and street fairs) and offering one-on-one transportation
audits/counseling to all residents of the target area.
Deliverables
The Climate Leadership Initiative will develop: a) a one or multi-day, six hour training for
volunteers on changing transportation behavior; b) an accompanying manual; and c) a survey for
evaluating impacts of the training. The training will be based off of CLI's award winning
Climate Master program.
Provide "Transportation Masters" training program - March-July, 2011
o Develop training program
o Create program materials
o Coordinate guest speakers
o Facilitate the training
o Teach components of the training
Additionally, CLI will assist with the following tasks:
o Scheduling
o Development of appropriate service projects
Program Management: Sarah Mazze
$2,500
Materials Production: Holly Spencer
$300
Benefits 37%
$1,036
36f.
v.
Admin 18%
$690
:°A..
CONTRACT NUMBER -2011-00223 Exhibit C Page 1
