Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Standards
The industrial pretreatment programs of the cities of Eugene and Springfield manage
industrial discharges to the regional wastewater collection and treatment system. Regulations
enforced under this program am designed to protect the sewage treatment processes, the
integrity of the sewerage system, the quality of processed biosolids, and the water quality of
the Willamette River. The sties issue Wastewater Discharge Permits to significant industrial
users of the sewerage system. The permit contains pollutant discharge limitations and
other requirements.
In accordance with federal pretreatment regulations, the cities are required to publish an
annual reporting of industrial users who were responsible for significant noncompliana of
wastewater discharge standards. The following report is for the calendar year 2010.
