1.6 District Employees. All employees of the River Road Park <br /> District shall become employees of the City of Eugene at comparable pay <br /> pursuant to ORS 236.610, et seq. Except for the Superintendent and one <br /> or two clerical positions, current salaried employees of the District <br /> shall be allowed to remain at the emerald Park Facility if they elect to <br /> do so for the three -year period following annexation. <br /> 1.7 Program Continuation. For at least three years after <br /> annexation, the City shall continue to fund and maintain a separate <br /> River Road Swim Team and River Road Water Polo Team. Assuming the <br /> availability of budgeted funds under Paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2 above, the <br /> City will fund a half -time salaried position for a coach for those teams <br /> and other duties. Any additional compensation may be provided by the <br /> River Road Swim Club. The River. Road Swim Club shall also be <br /> responsible for paying the wages of any assistant coaches. <br /> 1.8 Assumption of Assets and Liabilities. As required by ORS <br /> 222.510, upon extinguishment of the District, the District will convey <br /> all assets and liabilities to the City of Eugene. The City expressly <br /> agrees to honor all swim passes issued under policies in existence at <br /> the time of this Agreement. <br /> 2. District Obligations. To the extent allowed by law, the District, <br /> through its Board of Directors, agrees as follows: <br /> 2.1 Appointment of a Transition Committee. After any vote in favor <br /> of annexation and prior to the effective date of the annexation, the <br /> District Board shall appoint a five - member (5) River Road Park <br /> Transition Committee which shall continue in existence for the duration <br /> of this Agreement.
