Because PARCS will need <br /> this extension to serve 632 Day Island Road, the University and <br /> PARCS will share the cost of extension and hookups. <br /> 3. Electric: Extension of nearby line (Thramer site) and installation <br /> of a transformer to supply power for irrigation system timer. <br /> PARCS will bill the University on a seasonal basis for metered irrigation <br /> and residential water service. <br /> E. Access and Parkins{ <br /> Access for motorized vehicles and bicycles will be via Day Island Road and <br /> local bicycle pathways, such as the Autzen Stadium footbridge path. <br /> Existing, unpaved parking areas near the site will be utilized for vehicle <br /> parking. Vehicle access into the north end of the site will be provided <br /> primarily for the purpose of loading and unloading supplies, as needed. <br /> F. Operation and Maintenance <br /> For the first year, the University conducted routine maintenance as <br /> necessary to sustain test plots, including maintenance of irrigation systems <br /> as necessary to ensure adequate, continuous water supply. In future <br /> years, routine maintenance will be year -round and will include repairs of <br /> any accidental damages incurred as a result of such maintenance. Field <br /> operations may be conducted between May 1 and November 1 annually. <br /> Field activity is expected to peak during•t1 e months of July 'and August <br /> when up to fourteen students may be working in the fields fourteen <br /> hours /day and seven days /week. <br /> G. Time Schedule - 1990 Improvements <br /> All improvements specified in sections C and D are proposed ',for installation <br /> in 1990. <br /> H. Understanding of Both Parties <br /> The compensatory improvements described in section C :1 and 2 are <br /> conditional upon PARCS assurance that the University may use the <br /> approximately four acre site, as described above, for a period of at <br /> least five years. <br />
