FINANCIAL POLICIES & PROCEDURES - RATES <br />FY12 DEPARTMENTAL HEALTH BENEFIT CHARGES <br />The Health Insurance rate includes medical, dental and vision premiums, the Employee <br />Assistance Program, Health and Fitness Program and employee benefits program <br />administrative costs. <br />The health benefit charges are budgeted in account 57004 (Health Benefit Charges). <br />Health insurance is not budgeted on an FTE basis; each employee receives a health <br />insurance benefit amount determined by their employment status. The budget system <br />automatically includes the appropriate health insurance charges for all regular positions. <br />Regular full-time EPEA and IAFF-represented employees: AFSCME and non- <br />represented employees re ularly scheduled to work 32 hours or more per week-, and <br />IATSE represented employees eligible for health insurance benefits: - $14,028 per <br />employee per year ($1,169 per month). <br />Re ular part-rime employees, including non-represented. and AFSCME-represented <br />employees regularly scheduled to work 31 or fewer hours per week, Limited Duration <br />Employees and Recreation Activity Employees (RAEs): - $8,952 per employee per year <br />($746 per month). <br />NOTE: THESE HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS ARE PER EMPLOYEE, NOT PER <br />FTE. <br />Rev. 2/1/11 <br />) 7C6 t <br />
