August 16, 2006 <br />Notes on project budget <br />In order to complete the project, it will cost approximately $6,000 more than the original project <br />budget (see expense sheet below). Two main factors contributed to this: installing three cameras at <br />Spencer Butte rather than the planned two, which added approximately $4,550 to the budget, and <br />the excessive cost of obtaining EWEB power at Checkermallow Access, which added <br />approximately $8,000 to the budget. Even with the additional camera, the project would have been <br />$2,400 under budget apart from the EWEB-related costs. Therefore, we are requesting $6,000 in <br />additional telecom funding to complete the project. <br />Conclusion <br />In addition to obtaining power at Checkermallow Access and adjusting the field of view of some of <br />the cameras, all that remains to be done is for the vendor to train City staff on how to download <br />image files from the NVRs and locate images that are relevant to a particular event.
