The damage caused the signal to go on flash mode
for several hours. Eugene Public Works crews were able to get the signal functions temporarily
restored until permanent repairs can be made.
The permanent repairs, which probably will take at least six hours to complete,
tentatively are scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Thursday and continue into Friday early morning.
Flaggers will control traffic while the signal is shut down for repairs.
More than 50,000 vehicles per day travel through that intersection, which serves north-
and south-bound Coburg Road, Oakway Road, the offramp to westbound I-105 and Southwood
Lane and the onramp to westbound 1-105.
Motorists are encouraged to pay particular attention while traveling in the area and
watch for construction equipment and flaggers.

# # #

Public Works Administration ● City of Eugene ● 101 E.
