For pretty much any <br />capital project from Engineering with trees planted by/through POS, the job will be subject to BOLI at a minimum. If it is <br />federally funded, the contractor will be required to pay the higher of BOLI or Davis-Bacon. For landscapers, Davis-Bacon <br />is the higher. <br />Confirm to the contractor that this project is federally funded and we will need copies of the certified payroll for the laborers <br />on this project. For federal work under the current Davis-Bacon rates, landscape laborers and technicians are classified . <br />under Laborer, Group 1 and should be paid a total of $35.81 per hour (base and fringe). Because this is a federally <br />funded project, it is probably safest for you to just provide me copies of the certified payroll that you receive from the <br />contractor. <br />This year, we have Chad Drive Extension coming up that is also federally funded and will be subject to Davis-Bacon and <br />we will be requesting trees planted for it. <br />Please give me a call if you have any questions. <br />Jenifer <br />x5364 <br />From: ZUCKER Richard <br />Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2009 9:42 AM <br />To: WILLER Jenifer M <br />Cc: BELLMORE Mike <br />Subject: BOLI Requirements: North Game Farm Road Project <br />Importance: High <br />Johnny Medlin has just informed me that we will need to pay our contractor BOLI wages for planting street trees in.the <br />North Game Farm Road project site. This project received federal funding. Even though the planting of street trees was <br />apparently not a part of the original project, BOLI requirements do apply. Our current. planting contract does not cover this <br />situation. We can, however, make the adjustment but are unfamiliar with the process. What documents does our <br />contractor need to provide so that we can pay prevailing wage? Are there other administrative or legal requirements? Let <br />us know. Thank you. <br />
