In looking back through my a-mails concerning 360/370 Femdale. Initially Wayne paid for a couple permits from
the ops side, but when we saw the cost of site prep go from a couple thousand, to several because unexpected asbestos
removal, etc., we looked at the funding in more depth and decided capital would be a better solution for this.
Lacey Risdal, x4841
Financial Analyst
Public Works
Maintenance and Parks & Open Spaces
From: CLARK Debbie D
Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2006 9:19 AM
To: RISDAL Lacey L; AANDERUD Kris
Cc: SMITH Tammy D
Subject: RE: Contract #2006-05330
Paying for the residences removal from capital funds seem fine in this situation. I just wanted to
make sure everyone was aware that it changed from operating to capital.
As for the contracts, I do not need the street trees (yeahhh) but will need all other capital
contracts/RFQ info etc.
Debbie
From: RISDAL Lacey L
Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2006 9:00 AM
To: CLARK Debbie D; AANDERUD Kris
Cc: SMITH Tammy D
Subject: RE: Contract #2006-05330
Debbie,
Yes, the removal of the houses we wanted to pay from the capital project. The land itself was purchased from the bond
fund, and the removal of the houses is part of the cost to the City for preparing the site for development.
Tammy-If you see any issues with this reasoning and charging site prep work to capital projects, let me know-in my
understanding this should be O.K., but this is the first project where I came across this type of site prep work. If we need
to talk this through so both of us comfortable with this charge, just let me know!
Debbie-Yes, it has been pretty slow on the contract side, especially with Kris out on vacation. Can you give me some
clarification on the capital contracts you want to receive? I have instructed Kris that she does not need to send capital
street tree contracts to PWA anymore. I met with Tammy a few weeks ago on these capital projects when she handed
them off to me, and she walked me through PWA's process on these capital projects. It my understanding on these
contracts/capital projects, that PWA didn't need to see them any longer. Please let me know if I misunderstood. To date,
these are the only capital project contracts that we are intentionally NOT shipping to PWA.
Lacey Risdal, x4841
