C
C
RISDAL Lacey L
From: RISDAL Lacey L
Sent: Monday, May 15, 2006 3:42 PM
To: MURDOCH Kitty M; 'geoffrey.hughes@comcast.net'
Cc: MEDLIN Johnny R; HALLETT Rob R; FINNEY Kevin P; DARNELL Kelly A
Subject: Pre's-Trail work scheduled for 2006-2007
Johnny & Kitty,
I spoke with Geoff Hughes, at Kitty's request, and gave him the following information about scheduled work on Pre's trail
and the funding the City has already identified for this work. Please reference the attached pdf for the map of Pre's Trail,
and the location of the "loops" that I referenced with Geoff. Also attached is an e-mail sent to Geoff by Kevin Finney,
Parks Maintenance Manager, that lists the current work that POS has scheduled for Pre's Trail in the next year.
The northern half of the red loop is in the process of being contracted out for restoration this summer. We estimate this
work to cost approximately $30,000, and is funded from our general capital fund. The southern half of the red loop is
expected to be restored next summer (FY07), at a cost of $40,000. We are anticipating using some of the FY07 general
fund capital "site renovation & rehabilitation" appropriation for this work.
The work on the yellow loop is complete from the City's standpoint. There is some work to be done on the connectors
between the loops, as outlined in Kevin Finney's attached e-mail. The funding for the work on the connectors will come
from our capital budget appropriations, from both FY06 & FY07. The northern connector work is estimated at less than
$2K. We don't have a cost estimate for the southern connector at this time.
The restoration of the northern half of the green loop will be completed this summer. This work will be done through a
combination of City staff time and volunteer time. The Oregon Track Club will be supplying volunteer and materials, and
the City will supplying staff time and some equipment. The work on the southern part of the green loop is complete from
the City's standpoint.
If you have any questions about the information or cost estimates above, please let me know, thanks,
M
:W: Pre's Trail work
schedule
PreSign.PDF (1 MB)
Lacey Risdal, x4841
Financial Analyst
Public.
