MEMORANDUM
Date: November 19, 2009
To: Jeff Lankston 1141
From: Tom Lars
Subject: Contract wit On Time Systems
Public Works
Maintenance Division
City of Eugene
1820 Roosevelt Blvd.
Eugene, Oregon 97402
(541) 682-4800
(541) 682-4882 FAX
www.eugene-or.gov
Attached is the contract for information share between the City and On Time Systems. The agreement
allows the exchange of information about the operational status of our traffic signals. The application
developed by On Time Systems will result in point to point routes and travel times and can potentially be
used to help estimate traffic volumes and directional splits.
The contract is set up to be no cost to the city. We are not buying their services; they are not selling us
their application. On Time Systems will be solely responsible for any hardware or software cost involved
in the process of aggregating and/or transferring data.
The potential development of than I phone app was brought to us via the Intergovernmental Relations
office and the project appears to have strong support from the Mayor and the Planning and Development
Department.
Page i of 1
