An area of concern for the District has been the ownership j <br />and maintenance of the transit station once it is complete. I would like to <br />have this issue resolved as soon as possible. <br />i <br />I have enclosed a draft of a maintenance agreement drawn up by our attorney. <br />The tenets of this agreement are identical to those outlined. in a letter from <br />Ellen Bevington.to Jessy Smith of which you were given a copy. You will note, <br />that the agreement.calls for City.ownership~of all Jointly funded elements in <br />the Eugene Mall project.. The City would then be responsible for maintenance] <br />for these elements as..wel.l---as~the.maintenance of the items funded solely by the <br />City. Lane,Transit District would be responsible-for~the maintenance of all <br />the-~elementr of the project funded soley by the District.. j <br />Also enclosed is a copy of our maintenance program for the Eugene Mall Station. <br />As with our other transit stations, the maintenance function is fulfilled byla <br />Contractor under the direct supervision of the District. <br />Please review the ownership and maintenance agreement. If you have any concerns <br />please contact me. If thae.agreement is acceptable to you, please sign and attach <br />a copy of your maintenance program for the Eugene Mall Station area.
