The revenue account is required to specifically identify the
proceeds received from the grantor. The grant number is needed to account for expenditures chargeable
against the grant. An activity number may also be assigned, when the grant requires matching funds, or when
project costs will include costs not chargeable to the grant. All project costs would be identified by the activity
number, but only recoverable grant expenditures would also be identified by grant number.
I have assigned the following distribution codes for the EPA Grant - Phase 2
Grant Description: Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) in partnership with the City of Eugene and the
Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE) was successful in securing a U.S. EPA Wetland Program
Development Grant. The grant will fund on-the-ground research to help us understand how to better
restore diverse, invasion resistant, wetland prairies. LCOG will serve as the grant manager and will
coordinate outreach and education related tasks under the grant. IAE will provide research support by
setting up research plots and collecting and analyzing data. The City of Eugene will provide the
project site (likely Coyote Prairie), seed, and field support to set up and maintain the project site. The
City will be providing $33,703 in matching funds, primarily using existing funded staff resources,
equipment and materials.
In the following distribution code examples, X=variable numbers, 0=required Zero.
Grant (task order) amounts are $18,526.
