Medlin, <br />Parks and Open Space Division Manager <br />From: <br />4/ Jackie Hallett, <br />Volunteer Program Supervisor <br />Subject: 2010 Neighborhood Matching Grant: The Common <br />Ground Garden: Planting Seeds of Sustainability & <br />Growing Community <br />Attached for your review and signature, are two original Statement of Terms and Condition <br />Agreements for The Common Ground Garden: Planting Seeds of Sustainability& Growing <br />Community. This project was approved and funded through the City's Neighborhood <br />Services Program and will be implemented by POS Volunteer Program staff. <br />The scope of the project is The Friendly Neighborhood Farmers Network is creating a <br />neighborhood cooperative garden, expected to yield 1,600 lbs. of organic produce annually <br />and will provide regular hand-on workshops on how to increase food security and develop <br />sustainability skills. The garden will serve as a neighborhood showcase for sustainable and <br />permaculture practices in the undeveloped right of way at 21st Avenue and Van Buren <br />Street. <br />Exhibit B is included as the revised budget for the project as approved by Council. The <br />City's grant match portion is not to exceed $6,113.00. <br />
