JOSEPH H. GONYEA 111
P.O. BOX 2®9
SPRINGFIELD. OREGON 97477
November 24, 2010
Mr. Timothy M. Doll
Airport Director
Eugene Airport
28855 Lockheed Drive
Eugene, OR 97402
Dear Mr. Doll:
I am writing regarding your notification of the land lease rate increase of
3.3%, which we received in your letter of October 29, 2010.
1 think your decision for a rate increase Is inconsistent with what your
customers are experiencing during these recessionary times and we do not
believe this is justified from a market perspective. More importantly, this is
poor timing and an unfortunate and further example of government's
disconnect with reality during these unprecedented economic times. This is
not just about the monies but the principal.
know you have been approached by other companies that house their flight
departments at Eugene Airport that have stated their displeasure with your
decision. I strongly suggest you rescind this decision and postpone any
increase in land leases until market conditions warrant a rate hike.
In the future, please address all TP Air correspondence to myself and/or to
our chief pilot, Patrick McDowell at the above address.
Sincerely,
lwroleA~
JHGIII/ppt
Cc: Ron Ruiz -City Manager
Pat McDowell
Scott Chambers - Chambers Communications
John Harrison - Willamette Valley Co.
Dan Hollingshead - Pape Group
Dale Riddle -Seneca Sawmill
Paul Skillern - Kendall Automotive Group
Richard Slaney - RotoCraft Support
