Y
change and suggested one miochange. I am attaching a revisoversion of the draft
agreement for your review with revision marks for the proposed changes.
When this project was first discussed with Eugene Parks and Information Services Division
staff, we had suggested annual payments for the Wi-Fi project with the first annual payment
to be larger to cover the cost of purchasing equipment, installation, and setup. The
Information Services Division staff had suggested given the small amount of the contract to
just make it one payment. So that was how the draft agreement I sent was authored.
If the City now prefers annual payments, then the first payment needs to cover the equipment
purchase, installation, and setup. I have revised the proposal accordingly.
The minor change was made to have the agreement extend through October 1, 2012. This would
make the agreement approximately the three years initially envisioned. This doesn't add any
additional cost since the owner plans to contract with the DSL internet provider for 12
months at a time for a slight reduction in costs. So it would not increase the owner's costs
to extend the agreement through October 1, 2012, rather than pay the more costly monthly fee
for 11 months in the last year.
I am assuming that the two above changes will be acceptable to Eugene Parks and Information
Services Division staff.
Bob Quinney is ready to sign the agreement. I would suggest that a signing date be proposed
for sometime this week and be entered in the agreement. This could allow us to have the
system operational later this month.
Thanks,
-Steve
BJORKLUND Neil H wrote:
> Steve--Attached is the revised draft Wi-Fi agreement for West University Park. I can also
provide a "legislative" version showing edits in track changes if that would be helpful for
your review. While there have been a fair number of edits, I believe the original spirit and
basic provisions are as they were in your draft. Most of our edits are for the sake of
clarity. Once you have reviewed the document and are okay with it, we can have it prepared
for signatures.
