December 24, 2009 <br />Scott- <br />I wanted to write you a letter to voice some concerns that I have, and to figure <br />out a solution to them. <br />The following letter has been an issue I've wanted to discuss in regards to the <br />tree planting project on Chad drive. <br />As you know, the City of Eugene went out to bid for tree planting earlier this <br />year. I was notified of this opportunity, I read over the Project Description and <br />decided that I was a perfect match for the contract. <br />This is when I decided I wanted to bid. Before the bids were due, the City of <br />Eugene asked all contractors interested in bidding to come in and meet with <br />you, Richard and Sarah. This meeting was to discuss the bid specifications and <br />answer any questions contractors had for the city. <br />Several things were discussed, and a few things were changed in the bid <br />specifications. It was during this meeting that I brought up the question <br />regarding the size of the trees. Under instructions to bidders section 7 - STREET <br />TREE SIZE STANDARDS AT TIME OF PLANTING, it calls for residential street trees <br />
