Thank you.
Eric – I'm cc:ing you so you are aware the $ is still out there.
Sandi LeGat x4807
From: RISDAL Lacey L
Sent: Thursday, September 24, 20099:28 AM
To: LEGAT Sandi E
Subject: sierra vs. weyerhauser contract
Sandi,
This really isn't a contract, as much as a MOU. This is a result of a lawsuit b/w Sierra Club and Weyerhauser. The result
of the lawsuit was that Weyerhauser had to pay $15K to a neutral party to abate /make up for environmental impact.
The City became the neutral party and the holder of the money. We are to spend the $15K according to the stipulations
laid out in the MOU /contract /legal document. This was set up as a contract so we had a way to track it & didn't forget
about it. I don't think any of the $15K has been spent yet —which is fine. We just have to make sure when we do spend
it on a project, that it satisfies the legal requirements.
The intent with this "contract" is to have an annual renewal notice so the fin'I person is aware of the requirements on
the money and can verify the funds are spent accordingly on the projects. So ... you can renew it for the year, and it also
wouldn't hurt to check -in with Eric on this b/c he may have forgotten this is out there.
Hopefully this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
Lacey
From: LEGAT Sandi E
Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 5:03 PM
To: RISDAL Lacey L
Subject: FW: Emailing: Contract Detail.htm
Lacey – can you tell me about this contract and if it should be extended? I'm unaware of its nature but will pull the
contract file to review if you don't have time to debrief.
Thanks
Sandi LeGat x4807
From: NELSON Heather K
Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 4:47 PM
