Message
use that figure.
Beginning balance ..... $3,499.69
Expenditures ............ $3,431.59
Ending balance ........ $68.10
Anticipated expenditures:
4/23/2008 10` :59:30 AM
We will have to purchase a 15'x 25' flag this year and expect that we will need to purchase one of that size every year. We were
able to have the 15'x 25' flag that we purchased in 2004 repaired by Rose City Awning and thus were able to use it for a second
season. However, the 15'x 25' flag we purchased in December 2006 was not repairable after only one season. The wind
damage that the 15' x 25' flags typically sustain at the top of Skinner Butte. lead us to believe.that a flag of this size may be
expected to last one.season.
Although all but one of 10' x 19' flags that we purchased were made of polyester, we are considering purchasing the more
expensive Tuff Tech flags exclusively only be polyester is even more vulnerable to wind damage than Tuff Tech. We
display the smaller flag during the fall and winter months and want to get at least one full season of use from each flag. (We
already purchase 15' x 25' flags made of Tuff Tech.)
So, here are our anticipated expenditures for 2008, 2009, and 2010.
One US flag, 15'x 25', in 2008 at a cost of $642.26
One US flag, 10'x 19', In 2009 at a cost of $345.27
One US flag, 15'x 25', in 2009 at a cost of $642.26
One US flag, 10'x 19', in 2010 at a cost of $345.27
One US flag, 15' x 25', in 2010 at a cost of $642.26
Total for 2008, 2009, and 2010 ............. $2,617.32
Existing balance from current grant ........... $68.10
Anticipaated costs (not adjusted for inflation) .... $2,549.22
New grant funds requested .................... $2,650.00
Thank you again for your time and consideration.
From: Jeff Anderson [mailto:JeffA @ocfl.org]
Sent: Friday, November 16, 2007 5:07 PM
To: ZUCKER Richard
Subject: RE: Veterans Flag Fund
Hello Rick=
Thanks for the update. You're authorized to go ahead and replace the flag as described in your e-mail with the current fund
balance. The next request for funding should include a brief itemized report on the expenditures of the .last grant as well as
projected expenditures.
Thanks—
Jeff
Jeff Anderson
Senior Program Officer
The Oregon Community Foundation
1221 SW Yamhill Street, Suite 100
4/23/2008
