City staff also worked with Parks Planning <br />staff to ensure their agreement with the protective conditions of the 10 -year lease. The contract is <br />consistent with the policy approved. by the City's executive management team. <br />This contract also establishes an annual fee of $4 per foot and a specific 10 -year sunset. There is <br />approximately 1200 linear feet of AT &T fiber at the site which extends a land line to AT &T's cell <br />tower in the Blanton Heights area. The new contract replaces a 1986 instrument which established a <br />fee of $1 per foot and requirement that the City provide a one -year advance notice if it wished to <br />terminate for any reason. I located the contract in 1999 and immediately provided the required 12- <br />month notice to permit us to renegotiate the fee and conditions. <br />In keeping with City policy, the rental revenue will be allocated to the Fund which supports the <br />facility.
