This contract is for security services at certain <br />of our facilities and replaced Contract 2004 - 05325, which expired on September 30, 2007. The <br />base contract was awarded to Advanced Security, Inc. through a competitive process that was <br />facilitated by Jim Ulrich of the Financial Services Division. <br />The security services specified in the contract include locking a number of restrooms after 10:00 <br />p.m. every day and locking and unlocking gates at certain locations such as the Meadowlark <br />Prairie Overlook, the Willamette Street parking lot at Spencer Butte, and the Danebo Street <br />facility used by the Natural Resource section. These services are needed to reduce vandalism <br />and other illegal activity at these locations in an effort to protect public assets and establish a <br />safer environment for our staff and the public. <br />Amendment #1 provides a 2.7% increase (tied to the latest Consumer Price Index value) of the <br />$26,400 annual cost for the remaining two years of the contract. This contract has a remaining <br />balance from previous encumbrances. Therefore, $19,100 will be encumbered in FY11 to meet <br />the FY11 purchase needs, bringing the total contract encumbrance from 2008 to 2011 to <br />$98,300. <br />Attachments: Routing Form to Contract 2008 -05307 <br />2 copies, Amendment #1 to Contract 2008 -05307 <br />
