• 0 <br />Statement of Work <br />Botanical Technical Assistance for the West Eugene Wetlands <br />The following work items will be performed by the City of Eugene using services from The <br />Nature Conservancy of Oregon (TNC) in support of the BLM Eugene District and the West <br />Eugene Wetland Partnership for the period October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999. The <br />City will provide botanical technical assistance to help accomplish the following tasks: <br />1. Monitori g of existing wetland restoration sites and establishment of a monitoring protocol on <br />planned and new restoration sites. Monitoring will be primarily vegetation but may also include <br />wildlife and hydrology. <br />2. Surveying, for and monitoring of special status plant species, including federally listed species. <br />3. Oversight lof the native wetland seed collection, storage, and recordkeeping. <br />4. Inventory and implementing control measures for non - native vegetation, on both wetland and <br />upland sites. <br />5. Prepares reports or portions of reports relating to monitoring, plant surveys, site restoration, <br />and seed collection. <br />6. Prepares and/or implements site restoration plans that may include prescribed fire, seeding, <br />weeding, grading, fill removal, and planting. <br />7. Completes miscellaneous duties related to the management of the West Eugene Wetland <br />Partnership including environmental education, literature review, budget preparation, and <br />property acquisition review. Participates as a member of the Field Operations Group(FOG). <br />8. Directing work crews to accomplish botanical related tasks as identified in the previous items. <br />
