Ecological burning is an important component of our land
management strategy to protect and restore prairie ecosystems. Recent policy changes at TNC require
them to have a signed MOU in place with all partners with whom ecological fire resources are shared.
Thus, the attached MOU will permit City staff and equipment to work on TNC fires and for TNC staff
and equipment to work on fires on City land. TNC has requested all Rivers to Ridges Partners who are
engaged in ecological burning in West Eugene to engage in a similar MOU. Please sign the attached
MOU and return to Kris Aanderud (x4966) at 1820 Roosevelt Blvd. If you have any questions feel free to
contact me directly at extension #4888 or via email.
Attachments:
1.
