I <br />' Lane Transit District (LTD) is the local, public owned transportation provider. Public transportation <br />plays a valuable role in supporting efficient use of the transportation system. Traffic Operations <br />provides ongoing support and coordination for LTD operations. Traffic Operations responds to LTD <br />requests similar to other service requests for modification or additions to the transportation system. <br />All requests are evaluated considering the safety, needs, and most efficient use of the transportation <br />system. <br />' Unless prior arrangements are made, LTD shall be responsible for all costs associated with addition <br />or modification to the transportation system as a result of LTD requests. <br />' 2.AB Unwarranted Traffic Controls <br />Warrants, in conjunction with engineering judgment, are used to establish minimum thresholds for <br />' the installation of some traffic control devices. Warrants for the installation of traffic control devices <br />may be established by federal, state, or the local road jurisdiction. Traffic controls which do not <br />meet recognized, established warrants shall not be installed. <br />There may be instances were previously installed traffic control devices do not meet current <br />established warrants.
