These are quite adequate to start the process and I have, in fact, <br />started the Board Order on Frank's behalf, as of yesterday. I believe you are familiar with that process and with summer <br />breaks for the commissioners, budget work etc., I would anticipate late August or early September before the request <br />actually gets in front of them. We will attempt to do this on a consent basis to speed things up and avoid an in-person <br />presentation to the Board. Either way, I don't anticipate this is going to be a problem and will keep you posted as we move <br />along. It is understood the proposed tentative <br />sale price is to be $1,000 paid by the city to the county for the 3 tax lots. These lots are presently encumbered by a <br />public drainage channel that is being maintained by the city. <br /> <br />The city’s proposed uses for the areas will include continued maintenance of the drainage corridor and possible future <br />channel and vegetative enhancement projects. The city’s proposed uses also include connectivity of a pedestrian bike <br />path from the Beltline path to the Golden Gardens Community Park and on westerly to serve the public lying west of the <br />Beltline. The city is presently applying for federal funds to construct a segment of the path along the A-2 channel <br />westerly to at least Terry Street. Depending on availability of funding the plan is to eventually extend the path to the <br />western city limits near Ohio Street. This path will provide a desirable and safe path for the benefit and use of hundreds <br />of homes in this section of the city as well as serving residents outside of the city limits. Please let me know if this is <br />sufficient for the request to process the conveyance of these parcels or if you need anything further from the city at this <br />time. Thank you in advance.
