3 E U G E N E
Poke and
Open Space
a division of Public Works
1820 Roosevelt Blvd.
Eugene, Oregon 97402
Memorandum
Date: September 20, 2008
To: Johnny Medlin, POS Division Manager
From: Rob Hallett, Turf and Grounds Supervisor
Subject: Public Improvement Contract with Wildish Construction
(541) 682 -4800
(541) 682 -4882 Fax
www.ci.eugene.or.us/pw/parks
Attached is a Public Improvement Contract with McKenzie Excavation Inc. for your review and approval.
This memo gives an overview of the work that will be performed by McKenzie Excavating pertaining to the
Adidas jogging trail improvements. More specific details of construction are described in the bid
documents (Exhibit B) for this project.
The primary scope of this project is to reconstruct approximately 1000 feet of soft surface running path on
the Adidas "frail, (Southwest portion of the trail system). Original construction of this section of path did
not include any sub -grade base rock and this results in impassible and somewhat hazardous conditions in
inclement weather. The construction specifications match those used for Pre's Trail.
This project is scheduled for completion by October 29, 2010.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
-Rob Hallett
',EUGENE!'
