Fabrication was done in accordance with engineered
plans provided by OBEC Consulting Engineers. 920 Country Club Rd, Suite
10013 Eugene, Or 97401
Maintenance Recommendations:
General cleaning:
Gently wash with soft cloth or brush and mild soapy water ever few years, to
remove accumulation of road bown dust, moss, bird excrement, etc. Care must be
taken not to scratch the paint in the washing process.
Graffiti Removal:
In the event of graffiti vandalism, Naptha solvent may be used sparingly by
rubbing softly with a soft cloth. This should remove only the graffiti. Care must
be taken not to rub too hard at the risk of removing the outer layer of base paint.
If Naptha does not remove the graffiti, the same procedure can be followed using
Xylene.
Stainless Steel:
The Stainless steel net and hardware should require no maintenance other than
standard cleaning with the rest of the sculpture.
Note: Stainless Steel is contaminated by mild steel. Avoid any contact of the
stainless components of the sculpture with steel.
Damage Repair:
Deep scratches or dents as a result of vandalism or accident should be referred to
the artist for repair.
