This draft reflects edits made by you, Park Operations and
Parks Planning staff, and review by the City Attorney office. This agreement sets up the
general terms and parameters of the project and NPLP and POS responsibilities,
including fundraising goals and communication protocols. As the project proceeds
favorably and fundraising goals are met, a separate construction, installation and
maintenance contract between NPLP and POS will be negotiated. This will happen
prior to submittal of building permits or start of any substantial on -site work.
The NPLP is planning week long series of public events in late September 2010,
including a ceremonial 'groundbreaking' on -site to include the mayor and other
dignitaries. They are currently working with POS staff on design, development and
installation details of an informational sign planned for unveiling during the
groundbreaking ceremony.
The agreement has been signed by the NPLP President John Attig, and once signed by
you will be in effect. Please let me know if you need further clarification or have any
additional questions.
