L COG <br />LANE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br />Memorandum <br />To: Trevor Taylor, POS Division, Natural Area Restoration Team Supervisor <br />From: Jeff Krueger, Lane Council of Governments <br />Subject: Calendar Year 10 Parks and Open Space Technical Assistance Contract <br />Date: July 6, 2010 <br />This memorandum describes services rendered for the Eugene Parks and Open Space Natural Resource TA <br />Contract (112010- 05414) for the second quarter of Calendar Year 2010 (April 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010). This is the <br />first billing for this contract, which is for a total of 526,000 with an end date of March 31, 2011. There was no <br />activity under this contract in the.first quarter of the calendar year, as we were able to carry over funds from the <br />previous year's contract. The services provided are listed by the categories listed in the scope of work. <br />Second Quarter CY 2010 Services Provided <br />West Eugene Wetlands Annual Report <br />• Finalized the 2009 annual report narrative and layout and incorporated City staff edits <br />• Prepared final annual report for web viewing and provided to City for posting. <br />Spencer Butte Management Plan Outreach <br />• No activity. The Parks and Open Space Planning Manager will be coordinating this effort scheduled for <br />summer 2010 and I am standing by to assist as needed. <br />Resource Development (grant writing on request) <br />• Held scoping meeting to develop NFWF Proposal <br />• Developed grant writing work plan <br />• Wrote draft NFWF proposal titled: Forbs of the Future: Conserving At -Risk and Pollinator Species and <br />distributed for review. <br />� Note: It was determined that there would not be adequate funding in our region to fund this proposal in 2010 <br />and therefore our team decided to not finalize the proposal. However, the proposal will likely be submitted later <br />this year as alternative funding sources are identified or next year under NFWF. Comments received on the <br />draft will be incorporated at that time. <br />General Technical Assistance (on request) <br />• Produced maps to for use in the WEW Mitigation Bank Prospectus.
