All other conditions shall remain the same. <br />Bidders shall incorporate the effects of these changes in the appropriate bid items included in this <br />addendum and the total of these bid items then add in the appropriate place on the bid form. <br />CHANGES TO SPECIAL PROVISIONS: <br />00330.41(x)(6) Excavation of Existing Surfaces <br />(Add) During the general excavation Work, each day the Contractor shall excavate the <br />existing roadway material and immediately place subgrade geotextile and aggregate <br />base to the specific thickness and completely cover the excavated area. Do not excavate <br />more roadway than can be base rocked daily. Construction equipment shall not be on <br />the subgrade until the excavation is base rocked to the full base rock thickness. The <br />excavation shall be done with hoe equipment equipped with a smooth edged bucket to <br />minimize disturbance to the subgrade. <br />After completing the excavation to the designated depth, notify Engineer for inspection <br />and approval of the subgrade before geotextile and base rock are placed. The Engineer <br />may direct extra depth excavation as needed to remove and backfill unstable areas. <br />Do not compact the subgrade. <br />00641.43(a) Aggregate Base Courses <br />(Delete) The first paragraph that begins, "If the required compacted depth of the base course <br />exceeds 6 inches.... <br />Addendum #2 - Job #4622 <br />
