CALL FOR BIDS <br />BID NO.8 <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon will receive sealed bids until Tuesday, April 20, <br />2010, until the Bid Closing time of 2:00 p.m. at the office of the City Engineer, 99 East Broadway Suite 400, Eugene, Oregon. <br />The Bid Opening will he at 2:05 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the above location, at which time and place those Bids <br />will be opened and read. <br />Job 2010 PAVEMENT BOND MEASURE AND PRESERVATION PROGRAM <br />4435 on Goodpasture Island Road from Delta Highway to Kingsley Road (6,800 TON Level 3, Dense, WMAC; <br />73,390 SF Cold Plane PVMT Removal, 0-4" Deep; 102,658 SF HMAC Pavement Removal; l LS Thermoplastic, <br />Non-Profile, 90 Mil, Extruded; 6 EA Minor Adjustment of Manholes; 60 FT Electrical Conduit; 35 EA Loop <br />Detectors Installation). <br />Work shall not begin prior to July 6, 2010 <br />All Work shall be completed by September 24, 2010 <br />Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days will be allowed <br />4637 on Valley River Drive and Goodpasture Island Road from Willagillespie Road to Delta Ponds (8,400 TON Level <br />2, W' Dense, WMAC;178,840 SF Cold Plane PVMT Removal, 0-3" Deep; 96,364 HMAC Pavement Removal; I <br />LS Thermoplastic, Non-Profile, 90 Mil, Extruded; 13 EAMinorAdjustment of Manholes; 44 EA Loop Detectors <br />Installation; 1,140 FT Electrical Conduit). <br />Work shall not begin prior to July 6, 2010 <br />All Work shall be completed by September 24, 2010 <br />Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days will be allowed <br />The above jobs (#4435 and 4637) will be awarded as one contract. <br />Plans and specifications may be reviewed and/or obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 99 East Broadway Suite 400, <br />Eugene, Oregon 97401, for a non-refundable fee of $15.00 plus $6.50 postage. For other reviewing locations and any <br />questions regarding the project please call (541) 682-5291, or use our Engineering Bid Website www.eu eg ne-or. ovg /PW to <br />review Plans and Specifications. <br />Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond payable to the City of Eugene in an amount <br />equal to ten percent of the amount bid. Filing of a qualification questionnaire before bidding will not be required. Contingent <br />or conditional bids will not be considered for acceptance. This public works improvement project is subject to payment of <br />prevailing rate of wages, per BOLI ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a <br />statement by the bidder that provisions of ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 pertaining to prevailing wage rates shall be complied <br />with. <br />Bidders are required to submit a First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form, substantially as described in ORS 2790.370, priorto <br />the Bid Closing Date and Time. For this project the first tier subcontractor disclosure statement must be submitted regardless of <br />the bid amount." <br />No bid will be accepted by the City unless it contains a statement by the bidder as a part of the bid that the bidder in carrying out <br />the contract will comply with all applicable laws. <br />The City may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject <br />for good cause any or all bids onto waive any specification or requirement upon a finding of the City that it is in the public <br />interest to do so. <br />Dated this 6th day ofApril, 2010. <br />John Bonham <br />Project Manager <br />
