The fish return channel runs between the Walterville tailrace and
the McKenzie River and provides a means for upriver migrating salmon that
enter the tailrace to return to the main stem of the river. The project will
impact up to 0.5 acres of wetland, and EWER has chosen to compensate
for this wetland impact by purchasing credits from the West Eugene
Wetlands Mitigation Bank.
This project is subject to permitting by Oregon Department of State Lands,
which is requiring EWEB to fulfill the obligation of credit purchase prior to
issuance of required permits.
We have received funds from EWEB for the purchase of 0.5 mitigation
credits, and this credit sale will generate $39,460 in revenue for the City's
wetland mitigation bank fund (Fund 536).
Please sign the attached copies of the contract, and then return them to
Kris Aanderud (x4966). Thanks you.
Attachments:
1. Routing Form for contract 2010-05420
2. Two copies of Contract 2010-05420
