No funds will be exchanged under this agreement. <br />The Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) is installing two utility pipelines <br />through bedrock below the City's Mariposa Woodland in Spencer Butte Pazk. <br />EWEB is using directional boring techniques at the request of the City, with staging <br />azeas located on either side of the pazk boundary. EWEB has encountered a location <br />in the subsurface where the pilot bore is being diverted off the planned centerline and <br />has requested access to Mariposa Woodland to solve the issue. <br />The City and EWEB aze entering into this Memorandum of Agreement to allow <br />EWEB temporary access Mariposa Woodland to correctly align the pilot boring. <br />Under this agreement, EWEB may move downed wood and to cut shrubs to access <br />the problem area, temporarily station the backhoe above the problem area, excavate a <br />hole down to the pilot bore, stockpile soils adjacent to the hole, and to leave the hole <br />open for two weeks until final installation of the pipe is completed. EWEB will <br />revegetate all disturbed areas according to aCity-approved planting plan. <br />City staff will be on-site while EWEB is performing the work outlined above. <br />Project cost to the City consists of approximately 5 days of staff time. <br />Please sign the attached copies of the contract and return them to Kris Aanderuud <br />(x496.
