<br />Media Availability <br />Contact: <br />Cathryn Stephens, Director of Marketing & Public Relations <br />541-682-5430 or cathryn.e.stephens@ci.eugene.or.us <br />Allegiant Air Inaugural Flight <br />Who: Allegiant Air kicks off new service to the Bay Area with an <br />inaugural flight to Oakland. <br />When: Monday, June 8, 2009, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. <br />(The inaugural flight to Oakland departs at 1:30 p.m.) <br />Where: The main entrance of the Eugene Airport terminal building. <br />What: DJs with 101.5 KFLY FM will be broadcasting live and giving <br />away two round-trip tickets to the Bay Area on Allegiant Air. <br />Allegiant Air is treating passengers on the inaugural flight to <br />"beach packs"… mesh backpacks with a Frisbee, sunscreen <br />and sunglasses. <br />Background: Allegiant Air will fly non-stop between Eugene and Oakland on <br />Mondays and Fridays. The low-cost, high-efficiency, all-jet <br />passenger airline offers air travel both on a stand-alone basis <br />and bundled with hotel rooms, rental cars and other travel <br />related services. <br />### <br />The mission of the Eugene Airport is to support quality airport facilities and services that meet regional <br />needs.
