The exercise will involve the Mobile Aircraft <br /> Rescue Fire Fighting (MARFF) training unit located in the north area of the airfield. The <br /> MARFF unit allows for hotfire drills. <br /> In addition to Eugene Airport and Public Works staff, agencies participating in the <br /> exercise include Eugene Fire/EMS, Lane Rural Fire District, Eugene Police, Eugene <br /> Risk Services, Lane County Sheriff's Office, FAA-Air Traffic Control, Transportation <br /> Security Administration, United ExpresslDelta Connection, Horizon Air, Flightcraft, <br /> <br /> American Red Cross and PeaceHealth Riverbend Medical Center. <br /> The Federal Aviation Administration requires the Airport to undergo a full scale <br /> emergency exercise every third year, while a tabletop or partial exercise is required in <br /> each of the other years. <br /> The mission of the Eugene Airport is to support quality airport facilities and services that meet regional <br /> needs.
