The last official day <br />ã <br />of the leaf pickup program is Friday, January 30. No more leaves should be placed in the <br />streets, and residents are responsible for removing leaves and other debris left in the streets <br />in front of their homes or businesses after the program has ended. <br />Damon Joyner, manager of the Citys leaf recycling program, estimated that Public <br />ã <br />Works crews picked up more than 16,000 cubic yards of leaves during the 13-week collection <br />program. <br />Residents with leftover leaves or other yard debris can recycle them in home compost <br />piles, take them to Lane Forest Products or Rexius Forest By-Products for recycling, or <br />contact their local solid waste haulers for information on the curbside yard debris pickup <br />program. <br />More information about Eugene’s annual leaf program is available on the web at <br />www.eugene-or.gov/leaf or by calling the leaf program hotline at 541-682-5383. <br /># # # <br />Eugene Public Works www.eugene-or.gov/pw <br />858 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97501 541-682-5523 fax 541-682-6826 e-mail pwadmin@ci.eugene.or.us <br />
