Statement o#' Work <br /> Botanical Ass stance for the West Eugene Wetla~ids project <br /> Native Seed Program <br /> The following work items will be performed by the City' of Eugene using services from <br /> The Nature Conservancy of Oregon (TNC) in support of the BLM Eugen..e District and <br /> the West Eugene Wetlands Partnership from the period a~ October 1, 2001 through. <br /> September 30, 2002_ The City w~il.l provide botanical technical assistance to help <br /> <br /> j accomplish the following tasks: <br /> 1. Monitoring of existing wetland restoration sites and establishment of a monitoring <br /> protocol on planned ~n.d ztew restoration projects. Monitoring wi1.l be primarily <br /> vegetation but may also i.n.clude wildlife and hydrology. <br /> 2. Surveying for and monitoring of special status plant species, including fedez~lly <br /> listed species. <br /> 3. Native seed collection under the g~iida~a.ce o,f. the West Eugene Wetlands BLM <br /> botanist. <br /> 4. Inventory and implena.e?atiug control measures for non native vegetation, on both <br /> wetland and upland sites. <br /> 5, prepares zeports or portions of reports related to monitoring, plant surveys, site <br /> restorations, and seed collection. <br /> 6. Prepares and/or implements site restoration plans fhat may inclu.d.e prescribed fire, <br /> seeding, weeding, grading, fill removal, and planting. <br /> 7. Completion of miscellaneous duties zel.ated to th.e management of the West <br /> Eugene Wetland Partnership including environmental ed~u.eation, literature review, <br /> budget preparation, and property acquisition review. Participates as a me7nbez of <br /> the Field Operations Group (F'OG). <br /> 8. Dizect work crews to accomplish bota~tuoal related tasks as identified in the <br /> previous items. <br /> _ <br /> <br />
