ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-99-14 <br />of the <br />City Manager of the City of Eugene <br />CONCERNING NOTICE OF INTENDED AMENDMENT OF FEES <br />FOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT <br />AND REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-94-17-F <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br />A. Section 2.020 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorizes the City Manager to <br />determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services, goods, use of <br />municipal property, and licenses and permits. <br />B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, on July 28, 1994 <br />Administrative Order No. 58-94-17-F was issued establishing a schedule of rates for <br />maintenance services for sidewalk replacement and grinding. <br />C. The current rates for maintenance services for sidewalk replacement which <br />have been in effect since 1994. should be increased to more accurately reflect the City's <br />increased salary and benefit costs for the employees performing the services. <br />D. No changes are proposed with respect to the established grinding rate, and <br />the currently effective rates for maintenance services for sidewalk replacement should be <br />amended as set forth in the Notice of Intended Fees attached as Exhibit A hereto and <br />incorporated by reference, and the grinding rate readopted. <br />E. The fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are consistent with applicable policies <br />and directives of the City Council, comparable to the fees established in other jurisdictions <br />for performing such services, and are based on the cost to the City associated with <br />providing the services. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that: <br />1. Copies of the Notice be provided to the Mayor and City Councilors, published <br />in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, posted at-~two <br />locations at City Hall, provided to any persons who have requested such notice, and be <br />made available for inspection by interested persons at the offices of the City Manager, 777 <br />Pearl Street, Room 105, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. <br />to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br />2. All persons desiring to comment thereon shall submit written comments as <br />set forth in the Notice.
