ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-99-14-F
~ ~ . of the
City Manager of the City of Eugene
AMENDING FEES FOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES
FOR SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT, AND REPEALING
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-94-17-F.
The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows:
A. Section 2.020 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorizes the City Manager to
determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services, goods, use of
municipal property, and licenses and permits.
B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, on June 30, 1999
Administrative Order No. 58-99-14 was issued proposing amendments to the schedule of
rates for maintenance services for sidewalk replacement and grinding.
C. The Notice was provided to the Mayor and City Councilors, posted at two
locations at City Hall on July 2, 1999, published in the Register Guard, a newspaper of
general circulation within the City on July 4, 1999, provided to persons who had requested
such notice, and was made available for inspection by interested persons at the offices of
the City Manager, 777 Pearl Street, Room 105, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during normal
business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays).
The Notice provided that written comments would be received thereon for a period of
fifteen days from the date of posting and publication. No comments were received within
the time and manner required by the Notice.
D I find that the current rates for maintenance services for sidewalk
replacement, which have been in effect since 1994 should be increased as proposed in
order to more accurately reflect the City's increased salary and benefit costs for the
employees performing the services, and the current grinding rate ratified arid readopted.
E. The fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are consistent with applicable policies
and directives of the City Council, comparable to the fees established in other jurisdictions
for performing such services, and are based on the cost to the City associated with
providing the services.
On the basis of these findings, f order that:
1. The fees set forth in the Schedule of Rates for Maintenance Services for
Sidewalk Replacement and Grinding attached hereto as Exhibit A are established as the
fees to be charged for the services set forth therein, as of the effective date of this Order.
Administrative Order - 1
r:\adm inord\fees\99sidemain2ao.wpd(07/23/99)
