NOTICE OF INTENDED INCREASE iN WASTEWATER SERVICE CHARGES <br />To: Thc. Mayor and Cih~ Councilors of the City of Eut;rnc, and other interested persons. <br />NOTICE IS HEREL31' CIVEN that pursuant. to the provisions of Section 6.411 of the Eugene Code, 197E <br />Administrative Order No. 58-94-11-P was issuui by the Cit_v Manascr of the City of Eugene on .Tune 2,, 1994, establishing <br />monthly sewer user tees effective Jule 1. 1994. ` <br />The City Manager has investigated the City's current revenue needs and cost of operation of the City's wastewater <br />service system and reviewed the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC), and <br />has proposed to increase the user fees for waste rater seraiee, and regional wastewater treatment service as hereinafter set forth. <br />The proposed increases arc necessary in order to comply with the Council's directive that the costs of providing such services <br />be recovered from the bcncticiaries of the services. and other applicable policies and directives of the City Council; arc <br />consistent with applicable federd and state regulations and the recommendations of M1>,tMC; comparable to the amounts <br />charged by the City of Springfield and other such service: pro~~iders: preserve the equity between different classes of ratepayers: <br />and are based on the proposed budget ol~thc City and adopted hudtct of 1\9\VMC. <br />The current monthly rates charted for ivastewatx;r scrvic~. and re~~ional wastewater treatment sen-ice acid the rates <br />proposed to be efl:eetive at all bills issued on or after Iul}~ i, 1.995. ,vithiit the City of Eugene's service area for such services <br />both inside and outside the.
