<br />NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAKING <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND ADOPTION OF TEMPORARY VEHICLE <br />IMPOUNDMENT NOTICE AND HEARING PROCEDURES <br />ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-5.695 AS A PERMANENT RULE <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in Sections <br />2.019 and 5.695 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Manager of the City of Eugene, intends <br />to amend and adopt as a permanent rule the Temporary Vehicle Impoundment Notice and <br />Hearing Procedures Administrative Rule R-5.695 adopted by Administrative Order No. 58- <br />95-16 on October 12, 1995 that: <br />Sets forth the requirements for vehicle impoundment and hearing <br />notices; establishes the procedures to be followed at any hearings requested <br />thereon, and deletes the prior requirement to provide notice to lien holders <br />for vehicles impounded pursuant to Section 5.135 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />Adoption of the Temporary Vehicle Impoundment Notice and Hearing Procedures. <br />Administrative Rule R-5.695 as a permanent rule is necessary in order to the continued. <br />implementation of provisions of Chapter 5 of the Eugene Code, 1971 in the most cost <br />effective manner for the City, and may be reviewed at the office of the Public Works; ` <br />Department, Transportation Division, 858 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during <br />normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of <br />holidays). <br />All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their <br />comments or objections to the City's Public Works Department, Transportation Division, 858 <br />Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, in writing, within fifteen (15) days of the date of the <br />first publication hereof, as indicated below.
