.; <br />In addition to the above fees, a security bond or cash deposit sufficient to ensure performance <br />under the approved Street Tree Plan shall, be provided to the City based, on the following formula: • <br />a) Number of 1.5" caliper trees on approved Street Tree Pian multiplied by $300.00, <br />plus <br />b) Number of 2" caliper `trees ~ on the approved Street Tree Plan multiplied by <br />$400.00. <br />Trees which fail during the establishment. period and are replaced will extend the establishment <br />period an additional hree years from the- date of the- replanting for those trees. ' <br />The developer may either request the release of the security bond or cash deposit once all trees <br />on the development have completed their.establishment period, or annually request the release of <br />the security; bond or cash deposit for those trees which have completed their establishment period.. - <br />~~~ ~ Planting Option: <br />Application Processing, and Review: <br />Processing Street Tree Agreement <br />'~ and reviewing for completeness ",50.00 <br />Tree Establishment: <br />The fee for trees. shall be calculated as follows: <br />Local streets:, divide the total length of lots within or abutting ,the streets in the .area being <br />developed as reflected in the o~cial~tax records of Lane County by 30, then muliply by $300. <br />Collector and arterial streets: divide the total length. of lots as reflected, in the official tax records ., <br />of Lane County within or abutting the collector and arterial streets, and .commercial zoned <br />abutting properties, within or abutting the area being developed by 30, then multiply by $400'. <br />The fee is equal to the cost of purchaS'e, installation, and establishment of the street trees required <br />for. the development, -The City will track lot development, negotiate species with new home. <br />owners, plant the new trees, and ensure they- become established. The City .will be responsible- <br />for replacement of any trees that fail to survive the establishment period. <br />
