The original <br />Conditional Use Permit was granted on February. 5, 1985:, by the Eugene Hearings Official <br />for an 8S acre public park within the Willamette Greenway and partially within an area <br />zoned R-2 Limited Multiple-Family.Residential District. (Please see file CU 85-23.) There <br />were no conditions attached to the "approval. Since the .1985 approval, the R 2 portion of the <br />rosegarden was rezoned to PL, Public Land District. Public parks are an outright use <br />permitted in the PL zoning district. The entire park is within the Willamette. Greenway. <br />Therefore,. this request is for a modification o .the. portion of the Conditional Use Permit <br />that addressed the Willamette Greenway criteria.
