ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER N0.58-01-16
of the
City Manager of the City of Eugene
CONCERNING NOTICE OF INTENDED AMENDMENT OF
PLAT CHECKING FEES.
The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows:
A. Sections 2.020 and the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorize
the City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the City for services,
goods, use of municipal property, and licenses and permits.
B. Following the procedures set forth therein, Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F was
issued on June 29, 1998, amending the plat-checking fee schedule. The City's new Land Use Code
becomes effective on August 1, 2001. T'hep1at-checking fees should be amended in order to comply
with the new Code provisions. Therefore, I intend to amend the plat-checking fees by increasing the
fees for partitions, subdivisions, office reviews and field checks, effective August 1, 2001, and the
unamended fees should be reaffirmed and Administrative Order No. 58-98-12-F should be repealed.
C. I find that the proposed revision~"to'the plat checking fees set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto are consistent with. applicable policies and directives of the City Council, are
comparable to the fees established in other jurisdictions for providing such services, are in
compliance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and are necessary in order
to comply with the Council's goal of recovering the cost of providing the services from the
beneficiaries of those services.
On the basis of these findings, I order that:
1. Copies of the Notice, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be provided to the Mayor and City
Councilors, published in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the City,
posted at two locations at City Hall, and be made available for inspection by interested persons at
the offices of the City Planning and Development Department, Planning Division, 99 West 10th
Avenue, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during regular ~busii3ess hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, exclusive of holidays).
2.
