• Water Main Improvements <br />• Water Main Replacements <br />• Water Main Relocations <br />• Water Services and Meters <br />• General Plant <br />• Water Conservation Loans <br />Billable capital work, such as developer driven main extensions and damages to facilities, is not <br />included in the CIP. However, billable work is included in the Financial Summary, Appendix A. <br />Qualifying Criteria <br />Capital projects must meet one or more of the following criteria to be included in the CIP. <br />• To implement EWEB Board approved plans and policies <br />• Address health and safety needs, including regulatory requirements <br />• Improve existing assets and improve efficiency of EWEB operations <br />• Increase capacity to meet current or future needs <br />• Be funded from within the current and projected revenue streams, or bonding <br />authorizations <br />Capital .Needs <br />Renewals and Replacements -These projects replace facilities due to dilapidation or <br />obsolescence of the facility. Facility renewal extends the useful life through updating. No <br />capacity improvements result from renewals or replacements. <br />Site and Facility Upgrades -Upgrades can serve two purposes. One is to increase the <br />functional capacity of the facility due to increased demands or hydraulic benefits.
