Pump Stations -Project No. 14204
EWEB has 32 pump stations that typically pump to higher elevation reservoirs in the south hills
of Eugene. Of those 32 stations, nine are continuous running pump stations that provide
domestic service and in some cases, fire service, to the geographical area it serves. Two pump
stations act as booster pump stations in our systems base level.
This program replaces underground pump stations constructed in the early to mid 1960s. These
pump stations were built at low cost using modified electrical vaults. They do not meet OSHA
requirements for safety, tend to flood in heavy rain events, and provide a hostile environment for
pumping and electrical equipment.
Pump Station Rebuild
Program 2003 2004 2005 2nn6 2nn~ ~nnz_n~ ~nnv ,~
Willamette 975 $139,900 $250,000 $389,900
Gillespie Butte 800
Design &
Construction $100,000 $100,000 $157,000
City View 975 Design
& Rebuild $100,000 $100,000 $260,000
Laurel Hi11850 Pump
Station U grade $70,000 $70,000
City View 1150 Design
& Construction $40,000 $40,000 $320,000
Laurel Hill 975 Design
& Construction $355,000
Dillard 800 Design &
Construction $100,000 $100,000 $260,000
Continued Pump
Station Rebuilds $1000 000
Timberline 800 Pump
Station $360,000
Summit Terrace 1325
Pum Station $130,560 $130,560
Emergency Generator
Transfer Switches $36,300. $36,000 $72,300

Total Pum Stations $306,760 $356,000 $100,000 : $40,000 $200,000 $1,002,760 $2,712,000
Project Descriptions:
Willamette 975 Pump Station
The Willamette 975 Pump Station is located underground in the Willamette Street right of way and has
experienced flooding.
