The City currently preserves and maintains a wide variety of capital assets (including municipal <br /> . <br /> buildings, infrastructure, land, and equipment) and leased facilities. Examples of facilities <br /> maintained by the General Fund are: <br /> • Athletic fields, including softball, baseball & soccer fields <br /> • Bike paths <br /> - ~ City Hall, including the downtown police station <br /> ' ~ Community & senior centers <br /> • Cuthbert Amphitheater <br /> • Fire stations <br /> • Hult Center for the Performing Arts <br /> ` Jogging trails <br /> ' Main library <br /> • Neighborhood recreational facilities <br /> , Park equipment, furnishings, picnic shelters, storage buildings, & restrooms <br /> • Park land and Ridgeline open space <br /> Park office and maintenance complexes <br /> ` ` Pedestrian bike bridges <br /> • Police/Fire training facilities <br /> • Police substations <br /> • .Swimming pools <br /> • Tennis courts <br /> Dedicated Funds are used to preserve and maintain other facilities, including the following <br /> examples: <br /> ~ Airport <br /> Atrium Building <br /> • Bike lanes and on-street bicycle routes <br /> • Branch libraries <br /> Ciry offices used by non-general fund staff <br /> • Parking garages <br /> ~ Public Works maintenance facility <br /> • Stormwater system <br /> ~ Streets, bridges, alleys, and sidewalks <br /> Traffic signals, signs, pavement markings and street lights <br /> i • Wastewater pump stations <br /> • Wastewater system <br /> • Wetland mitigation bank system <br /> 4. - Unfortunately, the lack of funding for an adequate preservation program in recent years means <br /> r=' that the City currently has a backlog of rehabilitation projects, primarily related to General Fund <br /> assets and to Eugene's street and stormwater systems. <br /> <br /> r_, <br /> 1 City of Eugene 2006 - 2011 Capital Improvement Program <br /> 5 <br /> _ _ <br /> <br />
