Air Quality <br />• Fully or partially enclose materials or material stockpiles (where water or <br />safe .chemicals are not sufficient) to prevent particulate matter from <br />becoming airborne. <br />• Ensure adequate containment during sandblasting or other similar <br />operations. <br />Cover open-bodied trucks transporting materials likely to become <br />airborne. <br />Promptly remove earth or other materials tracked onto paved streets that <br />could become airborne. <br />Adhere to national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants <br />(NESHAPS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration <br />regulations when removing hazardous materials (see hazardous materials <br />section). <br />• Clean up contaminated soils prior to construction of the proposed facility. <br />Significant Unavoidable Adverse Impacts <br />No significant unavoidable adverse air quality impacts would result from any of the alternatives <br />or site options. <br />Final EIS 92 New Federal Courthouse <br />
