Future Coordination Required <br />Development of the new federal courthouse would require further coordination with the <br />following agencies during the remainder of the environmental documentation process and <br />throughout the design and construction phase. <br />City of Eugene/City of Springfield <br />Coordination with several city departments would be required regarding installation of utilities, <br />regulation of traffic during construction, exterior design of the building, disposal of dewatering <br />water, and traffic flow during operation of the facility: <br />• Planning and Development <br />• Public Works Maintenance <br />• Police Department <br />• Fire Department <br />• Water & Electric Utilities. <br />State of Oregon <br />Exploration and recordation regarding archaeological artifacts would be coordinated between <br />GSA's Regional Historic Preservation Officer and the Oregon Historic Preservation Office. <br />After selection of a construction site, GSA would consult with the Oregon Historic Preservation <br />Office to determine the appropriate mitigation measures for historic buildings on and adjacent to <br />the chosen site. <br />Federal Agencies <br />Additional coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service, the courts, and court-related agencies <br />scheduled to occupy the building would be required during the building design process. <br />New Federal Courthouse 283 Preliminary Final EIS <br />
